My twins are almost 29 years old.
In the last few months of my pregnancy, I started having pain in my wrist, and tingling and numbness in my fingers. Often I could not even feel whether I was touching something or not... 😲
My doctor told me I had developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and it would likely go away after the babies were born.
It did eventually get better. I can't remember how long, but it did take awhile.... but it's never gone completely away. Many nights I laid with my hands bent back (stretching the wrist) in between the mattress and headboard, just to get some relief. I don't remember how long it was before it was gradually getting better and not so severe.
It has stayed with me though, mostly on my right wrist. But especially when I have a lot of typing to do, or things that involve repetitive motion. Using scissors, peeling potatoes, etc. Using a handheld can opener was painful.
For years, I had not been able to type more than a few minutes without needing to go get my wrist brace.
In April of 2024, I bought this copper bracelet at House of Health in Winston Salem, NC. One of the employees said she does hair, and wears a copper ring. She happened to mention that the bracelets help carpal tunnel!
I've worn out SO many wrist braces over the years... I just had to try this! The first 2 days of wearing the copper bracelet, I did need the wrist brace too, and wore it over the bracelet, leaving it just loose enough to be comfortable over the bracelet. The 3rd and 4th days, I only needed the wrist brace a little.
It's now been 2 years, and I have only needed the wrist brace about 5-6 times! And then only for like a day... I wear the copper bracelet almost all the time, even to bed, as it doesn't bother me at all.
If you decide to get one, be sure it is real copper, and also not just copper coated, as it can chip off.
These things are amazing!
