    Audio sermons here.
Free books - scroll down to click on a title.
I suggest copy/pasting into a word document, then inserting page numbers so you will be able to keep your place.  There are some punctuation mistakes, as I believe they probably scanned the pages of books and occasionally it failed to detect a period, or added in a space here or there, etc.  Just correct as you go.  =)
I've read Jack Hyles Speaks on Biblical Separation and How to Treat Different Types of Church Members. I highlighted all throughout them and will be reading these again!
  • Faith for the Family  Bro. Clarence Sexton is the pastor of Temple Baptist Church and the president of The Crown College of the Bible, both in Powell, Tennessee.   His faithforthefamily.com website is full of great resources.  And many are free! Hover your mouse over Resources to see a list of things to click on, many with sub-links. Examples of Free Resources:-Stewardship of Life Series – over a dozen audio/video links.-Teens for Christ – has several sub links, some with things to read, some with audio and/or video.  I really like the sub-link Truths for Teens that includes a video on “Modesty & Identity,” and videos on “Strengthening Your Commitment to Sexual Purity” (one each for young men and for young ladies)(FaithfortheFamily.com > Resources > Teens for Christ > Truths for Teens)-Brave Boys and Girls – resources to encourage the hearts of your children to follow after the Lord.  Bible Stories, Missionaries Every Boy and Girl Should Know, Games such as a Jonah Maze, a Jonah word search, etc. that you can use along with your Bible studies.-There is also a Book Shop link at the top.  On the left will be a list of categories of books, including Educational Resources for Parents as well as Children’s Books.

Books:

If you're not able to purchase new books, look for used copies on Amazon or eBay.  Look for sellers who have high ratings, but also have many ratings.  Check the return policies of each seller.  Also, many times Amazon will let you read a preview of the book.

*Many older books may have "old-looking" editions available on Amazon, that are free for Kindle/Kindle App.  You will need an Amazon account.  You can even have a free Kindle App on a computer or other device.
  • Books by Jerry Ross:  Stay in the Castle (a fiction story within a true story - good for pre-teens and teens), The Childhood Years of Jesus Christ (for parents), The Teenage Years of Jesus Christ (for  pre-teens, teens, youth directors, and for parents)and more.
  • In His Steps, by Charles M. Sheldon
*This book is free for Kindle.
  • Before You Meet Prince Charming, by Sarah Mally -- A book for teen girls or young adults about being content to wait. Don't think you will start your life when you meet the right one. Be productive now and LIVE your life. Don't think of it as "waiting" but "being." And "be" where God wants you to be, doing what God wants you to do. And when that man you're supposed to marry is also in the right place at the right time, your paths will cross.
  • TRUE STORY The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom
  • God Knows My Size! Silvia Tarniceriu, by Harvey Yoder -- A 13yo girl's answered prayer builds her faith, which sustains her years later as she faced persecution and even prison for Christ's sake.
I do not know if this is a true story.
  • TRUE STORY By Searching, by Isobel Kuhn  -- "If You will prove to me that You are [exist], and if You will give me peace, I will give you my whole life"  --  This book showed me that in order to give HIM my whole life, I need to give up the "little" things that I hold on to.
But... this is a process.  When I see someone doing something *I* wouldn't do, I likely do things they wouldn't do either!  No one is "higher" than another but we are higher and lower in different areas, like a graph.
  • TRUE STORY In the Arena, by Isobel Kuhn -- This book continues the story of Isobel Kuhn (By Searching).  Christians are on display, like someone condemned to die in the arena.  Isobel was convinced that the trials of her life were "arena experiences" and her most valuable lessons.
  • TRUE STORY - As a boy, he dreamed of being a spy -- undercover behind enemy lines.  As a man, he found himself undercover for God.  Brother Andrew was his name, and for decades his life story, recounted in God's Smuggler, has awed and inspired millions.  -- So amazing how he trusted God, and God came through time after time.

Proverbs 3:5-7
My Mom and Dad♥
FROM MY MOM'S JOURNAL: May, 2009 "Lord, thank you so much for teaching me this! Cancer is a picnic compared to having one's family turn back to the world... I would "break" under that - anguish of my soul if my kids didn't love You in truth." (My mom was diagnosed with cancer in September of 2008.)

This song is exactly my mom and dad, and I want my kids to be able to say the same about me.

I found this awhile back.  It was something Travis had typed out a long time ago on an electric typewriter, and had stuck it in the pages of one of the reference sources he has.

WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG
  1. Do you ask other people's opinion about what you are doing, if it is right or wrong.
  2. Do you argue with yourself about it.
  3. Do you feel uneasy about what you have decided that's for you to do; had you rather no one else see you do it.
  4. Can you say, "Lord, I thank you for providing this for me."
I'm so glad I have Travis!
A familiar sight - both girls hanging on either side of him.  They do love their Dad!

Will you give your life to Him?

A Poem by Fanny J. Crosby

"Oh, what a happy soul I am,

Although I cannot see;
I am resolved that in this world
Contented I will be.
How many blessings I enjoy,
That other people don't!
To weep and sigh because I'm blind,
I cannot, nor I won't."
written at age 8 or 9 by Fanny J. Crosby (1820-1915)

If you think you are too unimportant, too "little," too this or that, to do something for Jesus, think again! This lady wrote thousands of hymns in her lifetime! So maybe you can't write hymns.  But do you know someone that isn't saved?  Have you witnessed to them? It is kind of scary if you've never done it.  Fear of rejection is scary.  But if you start praying and reading your Bible daily, with the intent of learning and getting something from it, soon you will begin to feel excited about what you are learning, and you'll really want to share Jesus with others!

If you are reading this and have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and the only way to heaven, please read these verses.  If you still have questions or just want to talk more about it, you can email me at martysahm@gmail.com.

And I hope you'll be with me!  =)
