Edisto Island, SC

Last month our family was able to go on a free vacation!  Not often you get to do that.  Some friends of ours set it up for us to use their points or something (not sure how that works), and we got to stay an entire week at a really nice place on Edisto Island.  Still others gave us money that paid for our gas and our food the day we ate out.  So very thankful.  =)
Since Rebekah is getting married in a couple of weeks (!!!), it was especially nice for our family to be together for 7 whole days with nothing that "had to be done."
My sister and her family came up to be with us a couple of days.  We hadn't seen them in a while, and being a couple hours closer to them worked out great.  And my brother got to be with us a few days too. =)

We had such a great time!  It was wonderful.  =)

The docks
I love pics with water, but I really love these at the docks!  This was right behind the place we were staying, within walking distance.  I loved walking on the floating docks that rise and fall w/ the tide.  They rock side-to-side as you walk on them.  I just love these pics. =)

We had the 2nd floor, but were two flights up because all the houses down there were on stilts. =)

Love the wrap-around balcony.  Having the 2nd floor meant we had
our whole balcony to ourselves with no one tromping by on the stairs.

Girls in the kitchen.  We cooked all our meals except for the day we went to Charleston.

Lots of free stuff to do, including miniature golf, tennis (but no pics), golf, and more that we didn't do.

Aircraft Carrier - there were 5 "tours" and the kids went on them all!
Also went on the submarine and the destroyer.
